At Flightless, we're not just a production company, we're a collective of creative thinkers, problem-solvers, and visual storytellers united by a passion for telling compelling stories. Our journey began with a humble start, born out of a fake ornithology club, and later evolved into a full-fledged production company that specializes in crafting captivating commercials, films, and digital content.
Our Origins
The story of Flightless began in the suburbs of Chicago, where three high schoolers, Kevin Conway, AJ Roskam, and Stephen Kipp, shared a dream of becoming filmmakers. They started an ornithology club, where they would gather to discuss birds and explore their love for storytelling. Their passion for filmmaking eventually led them to create a comedic mockumentary web series that followed the Ornithology Club. The series gained a cult following, and the trio's creative chemistry proved to be a winning formula.
